Solidarity Christmas

As part of our end-of-year 2022 project, our association was able to distribute Christmas toys to children supported by the association over a snack.

Who we are?

ANTSO : the Association

WE ARE PART OF A CIRCLE OF FRIENDS FROM VARIOUS HORIZONS BUT GATHERED AROUND THE SAME CONCERN: HUMAN.

We believe that every life matters and that everyone is concerned. By our origins, our education and our experiences, we have certainly been inspired by great men and women who have worked all their lives for this humanitarian cause: Mother Teresa, Abbé Pierre, Sister Emmanuelle or Father Pedro currently in Madagascar. Far from us claiming to do the same, however, we have a real desire to improve the daily lives of these children, little by little, project by project.

We met in France, but many of us are from Madagascar.

Fourth poorest country in the world, with a poverty rate of 76%, we cannot remain indifferent to the situation in this country.

The images conveyed by the media and social networks, the recent trips made to the Big Island, testify to unworthy living conditions. However, observing children with uncertain futures and who have nothing, but always smiling, motivates us to get involved even more. Because even if there are already many organizations and associations working with children in Madagascar, there is still a lot to do for 27 million inhabitants spread over 592,000 km2 …

“ANTSO” was thus born, and the choice of the name was not made at random …

ANTSO'S MISSIONS

The ANTSO association provides humanitarian aid to fight poverty in Madagascar, particularly in rural areas, with a view, not of assistantship, but of support for local initiatives to which the local community contributes and from which it fully benefits.

“Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world,” said Nelson Mandela, and we are convinced of it.

Our actions are thus mainly oriented towards the education of underprivileged children of these rural communes, by setting up a structure offering the best conditions both in terms of school materials and in terms of recurring problems of nutrition and hygiene.

Our projects aim to provide children with the best bases for a good start in life: knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills.

ANTSO'S PROJECTS

This year, we are working in partnership with the town hall of Imerintsiatosika, a rural municipality 28km from Antananarivo, in the SOS village project, which consists of taking care of street children, aged 5 to 12, who have never been to school.

As part of this project, we are going to educate children first, then their mothers, often single, to a promising profession in the region, allowing them to be financially independent.

For this, we are going, with the help of the local community, to build an “akany” (center), which will be equipped with all the necessary infrastructure in order to welcome children in the best conditions. Our objective is to welcome around fifteen children in the first year.
